After four decades of supporting and nurturing students, Sue Scirica has become a fixture at GFS. Colleagues describe her as gracious, loyal, and a font of knowledge: "Sue has the spirit that brought out the best in both students and faculty, who relied on her hard work and the thoughtful effort she put into every endeavor," says Diane Marinoff, Lower School reading and learning specialist, who shared a classroom with Sue for more than 30 years.
Sue came to GFS in 1980 as a reading specialist and educator; while teaching, she returned to graduate school to complete her Phd in psychology. "I came to rely on [Sue's] knowledge of children and her excellent writing skills," says Diane. "Her proofreading skills were known to all, and she helped many teachers refine their reporting."
